Friday the thirteenth was a lucky day for Red Bull Salzburg as the arrival of Barry Opdam was finally confirmed.
Opdam’s signing puts a key piece of Co Adriaanse’s transfer jigsaw into place.
The 32-year-old Dutch defender has signed for the Red Bulls until 2010.
Barry Opdam, 1m 86 cm tall and weighing 80 kg, has played over 300 matches for AZ Alkmaar throughout the past twelve years. He cemented a superb relationship with the new Salzburg coach during their time together in Holland.
The Dutch defender, capped twelve times by his national team, will not take part in the Olympic Games due to his change of club and goes straight into the Stainach/Irdning training camp.
