First of all Ventspils, then the rest!

Preview: UEFA Champions League second qualifying round
Red Bull Salzburg v FK Ventspils, Wednesday 8 August 2007,
8:30pm – Bulls Arena.

Thorsten Fink, assistant coach of Red Bull Salzburg, is full of footballing experience. The former German international is currently wisely warning against overindulging the celebrations as the Bulls clinch their expected progress to the third round of Champions League qualifying.

After the Aufhauser show left Ventspils reeling in Riga, the Champions are, far from wasting time celebrating, beginning to plan for the all-important final round of qualifying. Thorsten Fink will therefore not be taking his usual place on the bench on Wednesday night but will instead be far away in the Ukraine, watching potential opponents Shakhtar Donetsk in action as they host Erewan in the Champions League.

Shakhtar Donetsk go into the second leg in a similarly promising position to the Bulls, after picking up a 2-0 away win in the first leg. The Bulls are to contest their sixth match in 18 days on Wednesday and the fixtures are to continue to come just as thick in fast through the next month.

Another spin of Giovanni Trapattoni’s rotation system is therefore to be expected. Hopefully the team will once again be supported fantastically by the fans as they seek to book their place in the next round.

Take public transport to the Bulls Arena
Both tiers of the Bulls Arena are to be open on Wednesday, and judging by current ticket sales the attendance is set to be close to 20,000.

It is important to remember that ÖBB are to run their match day special offer again, with match tickets also being valid as train tickers for the whole Salzburg region! Just use the enclosed train schedule to plan your journey!

Should the bus be more convenient, you can use your match ticket to travel free with the Salzburg AG StadtBus, anywhere on their network, up to three hours before kick-off.
For fans that need to travel by car, we recommend using car park P1 at the Messezentrum or car park P4 at Schwarzenberg Kaserne / Tor Nord. There will be a free shuttle bus running between these two car parks and the Bulls Arena from 6pm (see attachment for details).

Ticket details for Champions League Wednesday:
Should the Bulls book their place in the next round against Ventspils on Wednesday, ticket points are to open straight after the match to allow fans to book their seats for the home tie. Tickets will be on general sale immediately but season ticket holders’ seats will initially be reserved for them.

The Online Shop will also open at full-time should the Bulls progress, and it will stay open until 12pm on Thursday 9 August. Only tickets ordered before this point are guaranteed to arrive on time.

Any season ticket holders (Abokunden) who wish to book a ticket for their usual seat should act before 7:30pm Saturday 11 August (kick-off in Red Bull Salzburg v Ried).

Ticket points will be open after full-time in the Ried match and both the West and East ticket points will also be open 9am-6pm on Sunday.
