Red Bull Salzburg have boosted their squad during the winter break by signing a left-back as anticipated: Manuel Pamic has been recruited by the Bulls and added to the champions’ squad immediately.
The 21-year-young Croatian Under-21 international has completed the switch to the Austrian champions from HNK Rijeka, Croatia’s currently second-placed club.
The new signing is to play a full part as the club prepare for the resumption of the league, training in both Austria and the Dubai training camp.
Croatian national captain Niko Kovac is delighted to hear that one of his country’s greatest talents is a new team-mate:
“I can only congratulate my team on making this signing. Manuel ranks as one of the best talents in this position and he is certain to be considered for the Croatian national team sooner or later. Pamic is highly skilled and is really able to create some pressure down the left side.”
Pamic has signed a contract that commits him to the Austrian champions until summer 2011.
