12 days remain until the 2008/2009 tipp3 Bundesliga gets underway with the pre-season entering into its climax.
Co Adriaanse is looking forward to the arrival of the rest of the squad in time for Red Bull Salzburg’s final week of preparations. The new Bulls’ coach has been forced to manage with just 15 players recently.
The players starring in EURO 2008 will be back on Monday, with Aufhauser, Gercaliu, Leitgeb and Vonlanthen returning to the fold. Sekagya returned yesterday from international duty in Angola while Robin Nelisse is expected to arrive in Salzburg at the weekend.
Four players are nursing nocks that they are yet to recover from: Rakic, Meyer, Opdam and Traoui.
The players are to undergo performance tests at Thalgau next week before football returns to the Red Bull Arena after the brief post-EURO 2008 interval. Steaua Bucharest are to line up against the Austrian runners-up next Friday in the final friendly match before the league resumes.
