Timo Ochs will be back guarding the Red Bull Salzburg goal for the first time in seven league matches since he injured his thigh against Rapid Vienna.
Heinz Arzberger was a more than worthy replacement for Salzburg´s first choice goalie, keeping goal for five wins and one draw.
Autumn champions Red Bull Salzburg go into the second half of the season with a two point advantage over Sturm Graz and four point headstart over champions Rapid Vienna at the top.
The Red Bulls are sure to be exhibiting their customary attacking flair again this Saturday:
- Red Bull Salzburg have scored 49 goals in 18 matches, almost three goals per game (league´s best).
- Salzburg scored a highly impressive 30 goals in the league´s second quarter to add to their 19 in the first quarter.
- Their 32 home goals have produced the lion´s share of overall strikes. 17 goals in away matches is also well above the league average (eleven).
- Salzburg´s goals have come from sheer effort in front of goal. 196 shots in home matches and 149 in away matches are the best figures in the league.
- Salzburg´s gamble of playing a three-man attack is paying rich dividends. The Red Bulls´ strikers have scored 41 times, with no other forward line netting more than 27 this season.
- Strikers have provided 17 assists as well.
- 58 ´Scorer Points´ makes them far and away the deadliest attack in the Bundesliga.
- The 161 shots from Salzburg´s strikers is also the most in the league – 40 more than Rapid Vienna´s have been able to muster so far.
- On average, one in every fourth shot from a Salzburg striker has found the net – the best ratio.
If Red Bull Salzburg can utilise all their attacking potential this Saturday they should have no trouble recording their 12th home win in a row against KSV Superfund.
