The next few weeks could prove to be decisive in Red Bull Salzburg’s battle for the tipp3 Bundesliga title.
Between 22 February and 7 March the Red Bulls face four crucial matches, including two big championship ‘six pointers’. They face:
- Rapid Vienna, 22 Feb
- LASK Linz, 1 Mar
- Kärnten, 4 Mar
- Sturm Graz, 7 Mar
The home matches against their closest rivals from Vienna and Graz will give Salzburg a real opportunity to put some breathing space between themselves and the rest of the league.
The Bulls’ preparedness for the resumption will be tested tomorrow at 2:30 pm at the Red Bull Arena.
Red Bull Salzburg v Dinamo Zagreb.
The Austrian and Croatian league leaders are to meet each other, although the anticipated battle of the brothers will unfortunately not be taking place. Niko Kovac has been unable to train due to a nasty bout of sinusitis and is unable to line up against his brother Robert.
Although it is a friendly match, the Red Bulls will be in no mood to gift anything to their opponents on Valentine’s Day.
The Croatian Champions are to travel to Salzburg this afternoon and train at the Red Bull Arena from 4:00 pm.
Leaders NK Dinamo Zagreb also resume their league season on 22 February with a crucial match – away at Hajduk Split.
