The Bulls Cup in Salzburg continues.
The second encounter involved Bayern Munich against Urawa Red Diamonds.
And the record German champions came out 3-0 winners thanks to two Santa Cruz goals and one from Pizarro. This means that the tournament will be decided in the third and final match between Bayern Munich and Red Bull Salzburg.
In a quick and eventful game Bayern took the lead in the tenth minute. The long-injured Goerlitz made a fantastic move on the right, taking the ball through the defence and playing a perfectly weighted cross to Santa Cruz. The striker was all alone and easily made it 1-0.
Then came two chances within a few seconds for Tanaka. The first was thwarted at the last gasp by a Bayern defender and he then struck the ball against the crossbar.
18 minutes and a great chance for an Urawa equaliser. A cross from Ponte meets Tanaka's head and it's just over the bar!
22 minutes now it's Bayern again. Goerlitz on the right crosses to Santa Cruz, over.
26 minutes. Almost an own goal by Demichelis (after a Hirakawa cross) but Rensing is ready and waiting in the Munich goal.
33 minutes, and the game is up. Scholl shows some great skill on the left and passes it onto Santa Cruz, who finishes for the second time this game. 2-0!
36 minutes. A wonderful free-kick from Scholl kisses the right post on the way past.
Bayern are now pressing for a third goal:
39 minutes: Schweinsteiger hits the bar with his left foot.
40 minutes: Goerlitz puts in a dangerous shot from distance but Urawa keeper Yamagishi saves.
41 minutes. The third goal is there! A lovely pass from Karimi finds Pizarro who shoots straight away. Yamagishi should deal with it but the ball ends up in the goal anyway. 3-0!
Bayern Munich win 3-0 and take the lead in the quick-fire tournament thanks to having the best goal difference. The last match will decide all.
